Champion first took home No. 1 for Large Companies at the 2018 Best Places to Work awards.

WESTERVILLE, OH – The Champion Companies celebrated its fourth straight appearance on the list of Best Places to Work in Central Ohio by again taking the No. 1 spot out of 10 honorees in the Large Company category. These results were calculated from anonymous employee surveys, with 95 percent of team members participating.

Columbus Business First, who puts on the program each year, collaborates with Quantam Workplace to conduct the surveys, after which they tally scores for each nominee, to determine overall employee satisfaction. The most mentioned words to describe Champion’s workplace culture were “fun,” “family,” and “challenging.”

“Since Best Places to Work is based on the feedback and opinions of our team, there isn’t an award more satisfying to win than this one,” said Champion President and CEO Brian Yeager. “It truly shows the health of our culture and the joy of working at Champion.”

Champion’s leaders say that it’s a “people-first” company, meaning that its team members and culture would be a priority above all else. Subsequently, the company culture has developed and flourished over time through the implementation of many programs that make employees feel valued, and keep their passion alive at work every day.
